Submission Guidelines:

Please thoroughly read all of the contents below. Thank you.

 

Photographers:

You will NOT be required to show a release form.

In return we ask that you please send us a link to your portfolio.

When submitting you are authenticating YOUR ownership over the images.

We are stringent about photo copyright, we refuse to publish photos that the submitter does not have permission to use.

Xenon Photography Magazine © and it’s owners waive any liability of stolen images.

Consequences by us for stolen images are a ban on our page and from ever submitting or being published with us again. It will also be made publicly known that you have stolen someone’s copyrighted images and tried submitting them as your own. We will also remove the stolen images immediately.

Any repercussions by the owner of the photos whom you have stolen from will be your own liability.

 

 

Models:

You will be REQUIRED to show us a release form from the photographer.

We need to know that the photographer(s) knows you are submitting their work since they own the rights.

**ATTENTION**

We will distribute release forms on behalf of Xenon Photography Magazine © to modelsand photographers submitting as a part of the process. You are required to sign a basic release stating the magazine is allowed to utilize and possibly alter the submitted photos (cropping).

They will need to be signed and emailed back to us. (e-signatures are just fine)

 

We do not accept photos of models under the age of 18.  We put this responsibility upon the photographer.  If the model(s) is found not to be of age, it is the fault of the photographer and not this publication.  This applies to both nude and clothed photos.

 

Viruses, spam, or continued solicitation after being told to cease will result in a blocked email address.

 

We will never consider the following:

-Gore (extreme violence)

-Drugs or implications of drug use

-Sexual content (this means it is more graphic than a simple implied image)

-We are open to photos that feature animals so long as the animal is not harmed/dead/or implied to be either.  The exception to the rule is taxidermy animals.

-Degradation of gender, sexuality, religion, culture, or anything else. 

 

**We hold the right to refuse any other type of material not listed here for any reason.

 

 

About Submitting:

 

•There are various layout options which will be determined by us on how we will lay out your spread.

 

•When submitting please send us a high resolution photo and upon approval we will let you know what size we will need to have you resize it to.

 

•If we accept your submission we will need it to be sent at 300 dpi.

 

•We also reserve the right to crop and place on the page(s) as we feel it best fits the theme and layout of the magazine and editorial.

 

•We prefer to only accept exclusive photos.  This means no previously published photos.

 

•Spread size is determined on many photos you submit, as well as how well the set looks laid out together.

 

•The maximum spread size is a page unless you pay a small fee to have a bigger spread.

 

•Please send in 1-5 images in total per submission.

 

•Only send jpeg files, no other file types will be accepted. 

 

•Please properly label the email with which edition you are submitting to.

            Example: January 2015 Submission

 

•All images must be sent without a watermark, or else I am not able to publish them.

 

You must include the following information when submitting:            

            - Model**

            -Photographer**

            -Location**

            -MUA (if applicable)

            -Hair Stylist (if applicable)

            -Wardrobe Designer (if applicable)

Some photographers and models may be asked to answer a questionnaire that will be featured as a Q&A section on their spread.

If you are asked please respond within 48 hours.

Documents should be .doc or .rtf

Font should be Times New Roman or Arial and in white font please.

 

Rules aside, we want this magazine to be fun for everyone.

We want everyone who is submitting to thrive.

Over time we will grow together into something much more great :)
